Welcome to he holics yawd Keesha! How is lil Alex? I just love me a P_om! (Pssst...for you holics that don't know, Keesha has a purty lil Pomeranian puppy named Alex).
Yes! Sadie is big time beautiful
and big plans are in the works! Val is even talking about taking her new horse over here for visiting and we can go riding on my area trails. I've got a snowmobile trail that used to be a railroad bed it crosses my road less than a mile away and it goes all the way to Michigan and my state park a mile away too. I'm so looking forward! I never thought I'd feel this way after 26 years with Bucko. I've also had two hip replacements and haven't really been wanting to ride again since there is always a risk...but since Sadie is not a huge girl, I'll be able to ride her without needing life flight! (I hope!)

can not flippen believe what I did last night ... chatting with Bwoy about my orchids - he cared for them while I was gone recently. he said that big white drooping one worried him cuz he thought it should be standing tall - like the others. He thought they can only get as tall as the stake that holds them up
I told him no - it is OK ... just look how many lovely flowers are making it droop so ---- if I draw it up - just look how tall this one gets .....

OMG craziness...funny though and I don't doubt it is successful. I was reading a glass forum after someone requested I make "god"(male sculpture glass) beads, and low and behold...
There is a woman posting there that said she made "schlong" out of blown glass and put them on line and they sold crazy fast. To top it off, she also said that men would send her pics of theirs, and she would duplicate them in glass, all decorated like with flowers and such!
Yep, it's a crazy world full of people out there! I may make a "god" bead, but no way in hell I'll make just a schlong, or a va ja jay either for that matter!

Speakin of beads, I need to replenish my supply, I have almost none! My beads are out on retail now in Duluth. I left practically everything I had. That said...out to the shop with me! I have a brand new tank of propane to break in!

I am starting to be quite a fan of turquoise so I am really loving some of those pieces on the right.
I was searching high and low for the Jamaican brooms in the picture. They look kind of short. The bristles look like they work well though.

Here are a few pics from yesterday. I started trying to get a few before we opened but even before the scheduled time we suddenly were swarmed so I only got a quick few..
I only took a small corner of my friend Peggy's regular booth that she has for the season so I took no props or displays and since it was Earth Day I left out anything with coral and just took a few that looked good together. Mostly I go to sit with Peggy and catch up after a long cold harsh winter when we don't get together.
Peggy busy with customers right away in the morning. Her booth is a regular staple for many throughout the season, every Wednesday and Saturday. Peggy and I have been friends for going on 40 years now, and she is the one who introduced me to Jamaica. Notice we had the music right outside our door!
Do you see the Jamaica brooms in the corner by the doorway? I brought one home!
The music at the farmers market is always so fun and festive..
Glassblower artist friend Jes Durfee with his winters work, so many fun things he has! Funny, I first met Jes in Jamaica, lol...
But the HIGHLIGHT of the day was when Peggy's daughter came up from Mpls with her two week old baby girl for us to oogle over...
It was a fun day but I about froze to death!
Ok, back to work with me!

the lamp ... I stumbled upon a set of those shades along time back ... bought them - and had them in the closet for years!!!
finally bought a base and harp ... just to test it.
I like it!! now I need to get the next base ... not sure if I will get a match or find a different sumthin ...
YES - it was my hand fussing with the orchid ... I did not know if I should try to salvage it by taping it - cuz it was not a clean break thru .... who knows?? I do know the plant is well healthy tho - so it should come back ...
I am totally hooked pon orchids now ... there are some serious weird ones out there ...Comment

I bought some beads to go around the bottom of a lamp shade I have in my den now. Then I got home and didn't have a hot glue stick big enough to paste a fleck of sparkle dust.

Good morning tulip! The broom will work very nicely for the cement floor in my shop. It's standard height and just like the several other ones I've brought back from the island.
I just had the most wonderful breakfast I had to come brag. What could be better than belgian waffles with pure maple syrup and home made butter from the farmers market! That, and a little maple flavored bacon.
Now I'm ready to rock and roll, have a great day all!
